Wisconsin Watch/First Draft reporters took a close look at this complex situation and found that Wisconsin received a disproportionate amount of carefully targeted disinformation in 2016 from Russian actors, because it was a swing state. They also noted that similar efforts are already underway in regard to this year’s election.
