A program aimed at people who want to learn more about how nutrition and lifestyle changes can promote better health will be presented by the county Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) on six Wednesday afternoons from July 12 to Aug. 16.
The “Healthy Eating” program is scheduled for 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Apartments, 3304 14th St. in Eau Claire. There is no cost for the workshops but space is limited.
Registration can be completed at www.adrcevents.org or by contacting the ADRC at 715-839-4735 or 888-338-4636.
Among the topics to be covered are label reading, portion size, exercise, restaurant dining and such applied skills as grocery shopping and meal planning.
The workshops are intended to help people understand how small changes in their life patterns can make major differences in their health, according to an ADRC press release.
