The Eau Claire County Board’s Committee on Finance and Budget will hold the second of two public sessions regarding the 2017 county budget next Thursday evening (Aug. 11).
This additional opportunity for public input into the budget process is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center, 1616 Bellinger St. in Eau Claire. The committee held an initial public comment session in Augusta on July 27.
The public is strongly encouraged to attend and participate in next Thursday’s session, according to a press release from Supervisor Jim Dunning, who chairs the committee.
“Listening sessions are an important part of the budget process,” Dunning said. They allow “citizens of the county to express opinions on any aspect of county operations.”
