The second in a series of monthly presentations at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library will be a presentation of “Social Media Marketing with Facebook and Twitter,” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10.
The session will feature a video tutorial which provides information about promoting brands, increasing sales, engaging customers and driving site traffic using Facebook and Twitter. The presentation is intended to help marketers and business owners to become more adept at crafting, implementing, measuring, and optimizing a winning social media marketing strategy.
These free Lynda Labs presentations are open to the public and will take place in the microlab on the library’s first floor.
The December session will begin with the best uses for social media marketing, and the best platforms for each use, and will move on to creating effective Facebook and Twitter profiles. Other topics will include writing engaging content that incorporates the unique features of each platform, such as hashtags and rich media; and maximizing the platforms’ reach by adding followers and fans.
The tutorial will conclude with the use of analytics to measure the results of these various efforts, to see how well posts and tweets are performing.
The series is designed to highlight various online instructional opportunities available through the library’s subscription to Lynda.com. No registration is required for this series of programs, which began last month with a session on “Photography 101.”
