An all-day program focused on end-of-life concerns and organizing to deal with them will be presented by the Eau Claire County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) and Dove Healthcare West on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
The free program, which includes lunch, refreshments and a copy of a Final Affairs Guide, will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the community room at Dove, 1405 Truax Blvd. in Eau Claire.
Sponsors for the program on “Final Affairs: A Guide to Arranging Your Personal and Legal Affairs” include Marshfield Clinic Health System, Mayo Clinic Health System, St. Joseph’s Home Health & Hospice and St. Croix Hospice.
Speakers will address topics that include do-not-resuscitate decisions, powers of attorney, palliative and hospice care, legal issues and concerns, Medicare and Medicaid comparisons, organ donations and funeral planning.
