The old saying, “Out with the old and in with the new” is the motto this month at the L.E. Phillips Career Development Center (CDC) in Eau Claire.
The CDC will host a summer sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this coming Thursday and Friday, to create space for new employee training opportunities. The sale will take place in the CDC parking lot at 1515 Ball St.
Items for sale will come from many CDC departments, including the print and wood shops, upholstery and catering, among others, according to a press release from the organization. The print shop will be selling unworn clothing in many sizes, colors and styles, all priced at $10 or less.
The wood shop will be selling custom CDC bean bag boards for $60 and cribbage boards in the shape of Wisconsin for $25 or two for $45.
Frozen pizza from Moke’s Pizzeria and Big Donkey Pizza will be sold for $6 each or four for $20, and can be pre-ordered by calling Joanna at 715-834-2771, ext. 144. The deadline for preorders is Wednesday noon.
The CDC will also be selling its well-known cookies for $1 during the sale as well as serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. The lunch special will include a hot dog, chips and bottled water for $2.
