By Katherine Schneider, for the CVPost
On a continuing basis, Kathie Schneider will provide heart, hope and sometimes a bit of humor on the coronavirus and its impact. She writes from the perspective of a retired Chippewa Valley clinical psychologist, blind from birth.
In today’s dispatch, Kathie recounts a couple of recent instances where she was confronted by technology that made no allowance for users with visual difficulties severe enough to prevent access. She also notes platforms like Zoom and Webex that aren’t fully accessible, but which allow phone participation.
The goal of these dispatches is to help relieve some of the stress that’s inevitable while sheltering at home and practicing social distancing at home or away from it. Please let us know if we’re reaching that goal.
