Questions abound about village's use of eminent domain to acquire land for Foxconn plant – Chippewa Valley Post
Homeowners in the path of the Foxconn project or along roads leading to and from the plant site near Racine say they were told the village of Mount Pleasant needed their land for road widenings or for a “major connector.” But records obtained by Wisconsin Public Radio under the public records law show those plans were abandoned — in some cases even before the homeowners were asked to sell their homes or else risk losing them through eminent domain. The first portion of this report was posted earlier this week. The rest of it is available by clicking on the headline.
