This year’s annual banquet and program celebrating Syttende Mai (May 17) have been cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but plans are already underway for next year’s observance. The cancellation was announced by Norden Folk, Sons of Norway, and the Waldemar Ager Association. The three co-sponsors of the annual celebration said that next year's program will feature UW-Eau Claire Prof. Emeritus Ivar Lunde, Jr. who will illustrate the many styles of music that Norway has produced in the last 200 years.
