UW-EC lower campus access to be greatly restricted until State Street project ends next month – Chippewa Valley Post
Access to UW-Eau Claire’s lower campus will be difficult – to say the least – until the city reopens State Street, which is currently under reconstruction between Garfield Avenue and Lexington Boulevard. UW-EC Police Chief Jay Dobson has informed the university community that the State-Garfield intersection adjacent to the campus will be closed from Tuesday (Sept. 3) until at least Sept. 27. He noted that the State Street crossings at McKinley and Roosevelt Avenues have been closed since mid-August and won’t reopen until at least Oct. 18, which is the city’s tentative date for completing the project.
