Customers walking into Dotters Books for its official grand opening recently were greeted with the smell of coffee brewing, an abundance of book titles and gentle background music.
Book lovers young and old eagerly browsed the expansive selection at Dotters Books. Although it had been open for a little over two weeks, Dotters Books celebrated its transition from online-only to brick and mortar on Oct. 6.
Five scholarships for summer writing retreats mark a first for the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild
Scholarship winners have been selected for each of the five writing workshops that have been scheduled this summer by the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild (CVWG).
This is the first year that the CVWG is awarding scholarships, according to B. J. Hollars, the group’s director. The four-day workshops will be held for a third year at Cirenaica, a writers retreat near Fall Creek, starting on June 21.
