The author of a new book about the North Dakota oil boom will speak at the University of Wisconsin-Stout at 7 p.m. next Thursday (Nov. 8).
Maya Rao, a Washington DC-based reporter for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, is scheduled to talk in room 112 of Jarvis Hall Science Wing. Her book, “Great American Outpost: Dreamers, Mavericks and the Making of an Oil Frontier,” was published in April.
