Spencer Stewart studied the multi-colored wires twisted this way and that inside a furnace Saturday morning, then examined them again.
A moment later Stewart, a service technician with J.F. Ahern Co. of Menomonie, removed a vent cover on the furnace, then used a small light to peer inside the structure to check for possible deficiencies.
“Look for any rust spots,” Nick Shill, also an Ahern service technician, told Stewart. “That could be a sign of problems.”
