State Senators Kathy Bernier (R-Chippewa Falls) and Jeff Smith (D-Eau Claire) will discuss the political elements of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on this week’s “The West Side” program on Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), scheduled for broadcast at 10 a.m. on Friday (May 29).
The hour-long program can be heard on The Ideas Network stations of WPR: 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Smith and Bernier with join host Dean Kallenbach for a conversation exploring the impact on western Wisconsin of multiple issues being dealt with by state government, including its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also share their thoughts on the upcoming election season during which Wisconsin is expected to garner national attention.
WPR Digital Producer Elizabeth Dohms Harter will join the discussion to provide an update and analysis of the current state of the coronavirus in western Wisconsin.
