The annual Safety Day conference at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) will be held virtually this year, the school has announced.
It will be offered throughout October as a series of online sessions that will address important topics and new development in workplace safety.
“CVTC provides safety training to companies throughout the area, but it’s great to have an event that brings people together to explore common issues and network about their successes and challenges,” said Rich Stangl, a safety trainer with CVTC’s Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education team.
“As we are mindful of safety from a public health perspective during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering the content of our Safety Day through several virtual breakout sessions,” he added.
CVTC will offer a series of sessions dealing with various safety topics from Oct. 7 to Oct. 29, hosted on Microsoft Teams. Topics to be covered include Reasonable Suspicion, Transitioning to Safer Chemicals, Worker Compensation, Fall Protection and Warehousing Safety.
Participants who register for at least two sessions can gain access to two free bonus sessions on Safety for Small Business and OSHA Update.
More information is available at cvtc.edu/events/safety-day, where registration can also be completed.
The sessions are designed for safety managers, human resource professionals, maintenance employees, front-line supervisors and others interested in updating their safety skills and knowledge.
