Phoenix Park will be transformed today into a festival grounds celebrating the culinary arts and showcasing the area’s restaurants and breweries at “Taste of the Valley.”
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families can spend the day at the park trying out many different tastes while enjoying musical entertainment throughout the event. Children can keep busy with activities in the event’s Kids Zone.
Food prices range from $1 to $5 per item. Admission to the event is free.
This is the third year that the After Hours Rotary Club is hosting “Taste of the Valley” with two partners, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram and the title sponsor, PESI, Inc. The event benefits the Rotary Club’s efforts to combat hunger.
Eau Claire-based PESI is a non-profit company, formed in 1979, whose mission is to provide nationwide continuing education for professionals in a wide variety of fields.
Rotary is a service organization made up of more than 1.2 million individuals united worldwide to provide humanitarian aid and help build goodwill in the world. While Rotary’s global mission is to fight to end polio, the purpose of the Chippewa Valley After Hours Rotary Club is to eradicate hunger.
