Reports from nonprofit organizations that received 2021 grants from the Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) will highlight the organization’s spring meeting on Monday (May 3).
The public is invited to attend the free online event, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Registration can be completed by going to the Eau Claire Community Foundation (ECCF) website at www.eccfwi.org and clicking on the WGC “Spring Gathering” post in the Events tab.
The WGC awarded nine grants for this year, totaling $45,379. They went to Bolton Refuge House, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley, Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin, Chippewa Valley Museum, Family Resource Center, Girls on the Run of the Chippewa Valley, HSHS Sacred Heart Foundation, Literacy Chippewa Valley and the Pablo Center at the Confluence.
The WGC, a fund of Community Foundation has some 250 members whose donations fund grants to nonprofit organizations that work to enhance the well-being of local women and children. Since the fund was established in 2007, it has distributed more than $357,000 in grants. Membership in the WGC is open to anyone who is interested.
