Area residents will have two opportunities on Saturday morning (Aug. 18) to take part in training on how to stop or reduce bleeding, from whatever source it originates.
The Eau Claire County Emergency Management division will offer the nationally recognized “Stop the Bleed” training course from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and again from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The courses will be offered at the Altoona Emergency Services building, 1904 Spooner Ave.
Registration is free but space is limited.
The course is designed to train individuals on how to stop or reduce bleeding; whether from cuts, vehicle accidents or a mass casualty incident, according to a press releases from Emergency Management division.
