The annual American flag display on the UW-Eau Claire campus mall will highlight a week-long observance of Veterans Day.
The display, sponsored by the UW-EC Veterans Club, will include to 60 full-size flags purchased by individuals in honor of veterans or current military service personnel. The display will be set up at 4 p.m. on Monday and will remain up through the week. Proceeds from the flag sales will benefit the Veterans Club and the Sunrise Exchange Club of Eau Claire.
On Tuesday, Maj. Angela Joseph of the Wisconsin National Guard will talk on “People and Perseverance” from noon to 1 p.m. in the Woodland Theater in the Davies Center. The talk will focus on Joseph’s military service and persevering through change.
A veterans appreciation meal will be available on Wednesday (Veterans Day) for military service veterans on campus. It will be served between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Veterans Center located in Room 20 of Schofield Hall.
