The “Taste of the Valley” organizing committee is still looking for about 35 more volunteers to help with the June 3 event.
The greatest need is during the afternoon shift, from 1:45 to 5:15 p.m., according to a press release from the Chippewa Valley After Hours Rotary Club. The event is scheduled for Phoenix Park and will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to welcome visitors and answer general event questions; sell food and drink tickets; serve drinks; monitor the Kids Zone; and check ID’s and issue wristbands in the beer garden. Volunteer information and online registration is available on the “Taste of the Valley” website.
This is the third year that the Rotary Club is hosting the June event with two partners, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram and the title sponsor, PESI, Inc. Admission is free and food and drink tickets will be available for $1. The event showcases area restaurants and benefits the Rotary Club’s efforts to combat hunger.
The After Hours Rotary Club meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays each month, at the Eagles Club in Lake Hallie. Information about the club and its service projects is available at www.cvafterhours.com.
